The event was a huge success with over 200 hot meals served to community residents in the Kennedy Road neighbourhood.

“Would you want to spend Christmas day any other way?” Says Nando’s area director, Raj Ramsuchit. This is exactly what Nando’s is about, friends, family and community. “Taking care of our community is in our DNA, today we serve 200 free meals, next year we plan to expand on this and serve 500”.

It was followed by live Christmas music, quarter leg dinners on the grill and welcoming smiles from the local Nando’s Kennedy Commons team, led by the store’s general manger Tara Hidari. Guests arrived in waves and in no time the room was filled with smiles, laughter, and gratitude. The Day concluded at 3PM with a resounding round of applause from the remaining guests.
